A couple of weeks ago I was riding with the Typist and we saw DUCKS! Real live feathery ducks swimming in the water!
I asked the Typist to stop so we could say hi.
I went over to the rail and said hi to the ducks. They did not say anything to me.
I did not know why they would not talk to me. Maybe they did not speak English. Or maybe they were geese and I insulted them by calling them ducks. I hope that wasn’t it. I mean, we are all ducks to me.

Shame on those duckies – errr geeses — for not talking to you. I should hiss at dem. Cute pictures.
George, those look like Canadian geese….those guys are known to be snobby… (not all Canadians, just da geese!!)
Mario, you may hiss if you want. QOL
Zack, Yeah I thought so, but duck duck goose whatever. Glad it’s just the geese that are snobby. I like my Canadian pals!
They were in awe of your awesomeness George. It can be intimidating.
Oh is that what it was Rumbles. Well, I do not know how to help that.
Well, I think they are geese but honestly, most people I know prefer ducks (mainly because they don’t leave messes like geese do), so they should have been honored to be called ducks! It is a total compliment for them!
I hope they are honored then, Amy!
Those are definitely geese and geese are nasty. They hiss and bite and chase. You’re better off not talking to them. There must be a flock of Mallards around there somewhere!
Katie – They bite and chase? Oh my. I am glad they did not bite and chase me or the Typist!
