The weather was icky, but they were only going to be in Roanoke a day, so we went anyway. Real duck weather, but the Typist wasn’t thrilled with it.

But we made it. Of course we did. And we met up with Flat Chey and Chey’s humans. We had lunch! I especially liked the spinach and artichoke dip. Very yummy for a duck.

While we were eating lunch, we noticed a lot of people staring at cars. OOPS! It was a flood! And the Typist’s car was out there.

Now, the Typist is horribly allergic to mold. She was afraid she would never be able to make her car tolerable for her again if the water got into the floorboards and carpet. So she waded out and took it to higher ground. Yay for Typist! She had to go to Walmart and get new cheap shoes and socks and pants to get home, though. QOL It made her laugh too.

It was a really fun adventure and I got to meet new friends. Yay! I hope we get to meet more friends soon.

We have been truly blessed with great friends helping out!  @flicka47 and friends are opening the Flicka da Cookie cafe for us. @JavaTheCat is sending our traditional Christmas goodies foods. @FrugalDougal is Quizmaster and getting prizes together. @Snick_the_Dog is getting our Sekurity team together to keep the spammers out.  @Fergusthedog is getting the DJs set up for us. I’m herding cats… um.. barktenders. QOL  @Sanjeethecat, my kitteh is getting all the Chatzy fun together for our blogging buddies that don’t use Twitter.

I just can’t stop traveling.  This weekend I went to Seattle, Washington for the Paw Love tweetup.  Once again, the Typist couldn’t fly herself so she had to stay home. But I got to see a bunch of my friend including @TinyPearlCat, @BlindMaximus and @Hookalopes, @SeattleP as well as @FrugalDougal’s Mom.

PLUS,  I want you to know that I behaved!!!

Too bad the Typist can’t come with me.

I was so excited that I clapped my wings and started getting ready to fly out to Denver to her house.

Since the Typist could not fly with me, she had to help me get ready. She wrote a note for me to take with me. I do not know why, though. I have already packed my iBone so I can keep in touch while I’m flying out and at the conference.

After I gave the Typist a bunch of *ducky hugs* and a big SMOOCH worthy of @Sydpie, I got into the “plane” to fly over to Denver.

Once I was settled into my seat, I waved good-bye to the Typist. They closed the plane’s doors and I was off. Woo hoo!  I can’t wait to see Pumpkin and everyone at Blogpaws West.

I am glad I have my iBone with me so I can pawticipate in today’s Pawpawty from 2pm EDT to 2pm EDT tomorrow. I really want to go on the Fail Whale Cruise and try to get me some Fail Whale. AND I want to go to #lakewithpetie too. I hope I get to see all my friends at both get-togethers!

Now I have to recover.  Whose thongs are these???

I had fun at dinner here at Barkworld *hic* I can’t figure out why the Typist says I am getting a reputation at these anipal conferences.

This is my very first barktender photo ever.

I kept falling into the blender when I added fruits and stuff because I am only 3 inches tall. (Fortunately I never fell in while it was on!) So I had to get a magic blende rthat is small enough for me to use without  pitching into it, but it makes regular size drinks. Magic!

I have enjoyed being a barktender for the past year! I’m honored that I became Head Barktender for #Pawpawty too! I hope I can keep barktending for a long, long time.

Of course, tonight I will be DJing tonight, not barktending. Life is funny! Come by and celebrate with me, though. I will be DJing from 8-9pm Eastern.
